To Market...To Market...

The Handmade Craft Markets were overwhelming to say the least. There were people lining up to get in the doors, cars trying to find a parking spot and prams galore filling out the aisles.

The feedback from customers was that they were unaware that the Central Coast had so many handmade products to offer right on their front door step!!

With over 50 stands, food, music and things to keep the kids entertained it was an incredible day for both visitors and stall holders...
I personally had several people from the community who knew my business and myself but I hadn't met them. It was such a random thing to have people jump in front of my stand and yell "Steph...??!!" over and over again! I now know who these people are and love that they made an effort to come say hi to little me.

Two people in particular were Simone from Kidz on the Coast who featured MooBear in their current issue. The other was Tracey from Point Clare Spring Fair commitee. Carlos and I donated our time to design the logo and posters for the event which you can check out on their blog.

Denim bibs, Clutches, Gina purses, Taggy toys...

Recycled frames were covered in denim to display the Zip It Brooches and Headbands.

Price tags were made using recycled board packaging (beer holders I believe) off cuts of green card from our business cards and paper.

MooBear now has it's own display area beside the over flowing Over It! Products... hehe

Tracey showing customers how the Zip It Pocket Pal works...Thanks Tracey.

Rebekah from Purely Natural Living was to my right.

Helen from The Wacky Wardrobe was diagonally across from me. She was also my ride into Erina.... Thanks Helen.

Shannon and Tracey from Just Like Katie was behind me... Hi Girls!!

Teangi from Teangi's Metal Sculptures was in front of me and she also ordered a custom made coin pouch for the day!! Do you like it?

Jasmine and Heidi from JazzyLee Kidz Biz were to my left!!

We can not wait to do it all again on November 21st!!

My Creative Space... Market Time!!

It's been a while since I have played along with My Creative Space over at kootoyoo.

So today I am working on the last lot of Gina Purses for the Handmade Craft Market on Sunday at Erina High School on the Central Coast.

The response to my Over It! label on my facebook page has been a little crazy with lots of custom orders... I am not complaining though I love it and people are happy for me to be as creative as I like.

Denim and Doilies equals Gina Purses.

Some of the lining using recycled, reclaimed and scrap material.

Look who also arrived in the mail yesterday...

Hien from With Luv Clemintine had a giveaway a while back and choose a heap of people to send her new mouse creations to. He is yet to be named but he is in for love, fun and happy times!!

That's Team MooBear to a tea!!

Well that's enough from me today. I just wanted to stick my head back into blog land and say hi. Pop over to Kootoyoo and see who else is playing along today.

Op shopping, Glue Gun and Tiny Buttons Equals...

A new pair of shoes for Bubble.

White canvas shoes new in box from St Vinnies $5.
Tiny buttons from my button jar.
New warm glue gun $10.95.

I stress warm here as Bear ended up with blister on his fingers after he didn't listen to my words. So I haven't used a glue gun until now.

Strike a pose! How cute is she?

They match her new treasure shop spotty hoodie.
Dory on the other hand doesn't seem as impressed.

I am happy to announce that after a week of wear and tear all buttons are still in place!!
WICKED!

Bizness Babes...

On Wednesday Bubble and I caught up with Aunty Chrissy from Bizness Babes for a chat, cuddle and coffee.

We chatted about this and that. I always feel inspired after touching base and refuelling my business ideas. Chrissy has so much energy and she was the perfect person to make me feel alive and ready to do the big things I have swirling around in my head.

Thank You Chrissy Girl for all the love and support you have given me since our very first email back on 10th July 2008... yes I still have our emails!!

I also took along my new bag... but it's not just any bag.

All the profits from this lovely bag go back to helping Bizness Babes realise their business dream. They are only available through your local 'The Body Shop' so call past and have a look!!

But that's not all... check this out!!

Ethically made and enviro friendly too!!
Just like MooBear so of course I have my very own...

Happy Happy 101...

I have been tagged by the wonderful Sophie to join in a meme (why is it called that?)

It's pretty easy too... just list 10 things which make me happy!

Aside from the usual my children, my husband, my friends which make me happy on a daily basis. I am going to list what really makes ME happy.

Sophie put a picture of her shoes on her blog so I am putting one too...

1. My converse shoes... 2 high tops in particular!!
2. My Fair Trade coffee in the morning or sometimes in the afternoon.
3. Breastfeeding Bubble makes me giddy happy!!
4. Gazing into the blue sky wondering about the possibilities that lie beyond...
5. Feeling the warm sun on my back as I hang out the washing.
6. Getting a blog comment or email from Lauranie always puts a smile on my face.
7. Chocolate.
8. Scrap material... Oh how I love bags of scraps.
9. Buying handmade, ethically made, enviro friendly, chemical free, organic, op shopping.... did I forget something? I want to have as little impact on the planet as I possibly can.
10. Ummm... Rolling over into the warm spot in the bed when Carlos gets up...hehe

Ok lets see what else makes my friends happy...

MooBear On The Coast...

Oh where does the time go?

I have had 3 children home sick one after the other so blog land has been without me. I have also been madly using what little time I have to make more Over It! products and a little bit of socialising on the side.

I was also umming and arhing about what to do for my label. You know something woven or printed with Over It! on it for all my products.

You know what I decided on? Hand stamping the words using the blocks from my logo (which you can see to the top right of the blog) you can pop over here to have a quick look at the final out come. I am pretty excited personally.

On to more news. Team MooBear were at the doctors a few months ago and there was a copy of Kidz On The Coast next to me on the table. Carlos nudged me to take one but it was the last one and I am a little weird about taking the last one but I did. It was such a great read that I contacted the ladies behind the mag.

This is the newest issue.

I am looking forward to reading the 'so you want a dog' article.

Oh and look who they featured on page 25.

Plus they also did a story on Rachelle, organiser of the newest Handmade Craft Market to hit the Central Coast. MooBear and Over It! will be there too.

If you aren't on the Coast guess what? You can still read the magazine by heading over to their web site and viewing in online.
How good is that!?

It's so great to be part of such a supportive community. Businesses helping one another, advice being shared and friendships being formed.

I think I am really liking the Central Coast! Thanks for having us here!!
